Bids and Tickets

The primary task and goal of the bids and tickets committee is to sell tickets. The sale of tickets generally takes place in several ways, through the mail, email, daily bulletins, daily announcements, and through sales on-campus during the school day. In addition, this committee is responsible for ferreting out those students who can not afford the full price of a ticket and for them granting a scholarship. Scholarships reduce the price to an affordable level.
As a part of the selling process, the committee is responsible for the generation of publicity. This publicity takes the form of fliers in the various forms of Monta Vista newsletter and on campus advertising.

The bid is a program that reflects on the party theme and provides a schedule of events for the night and a map of where the activities are located. The bid is given to the party goers as they check in.

In addition to the usual announcements, articles high lighting the party are often run by the local newspapers to gain community support.
